The support by SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit varies based on where it's needed. The organization supports different programs for E-Sports, Coding, and Pro-Gaming to name a few.
Africa | Djibouti | Balbala: E-Learning Center
In Djibouti, Africa, the E-Learning Center helps about 200 students, over half of them girls, with courses in ICT, languages, and more. Education boosts job prospects and empowerment for young people.
The E-Learning Center offers courses in areas like ICT, computer skills, languages, general education, and starting businesses. The lessons closely align with the local job market's needs and general professional practices in Djibouti.
Education empowers disadvantaged youth for independent lives and societal participation. It's not just about schooling but also about key skills for lifelong learning, nurturing talents, and personal development.

Global | International Network | YouthCan!
YouthCan! is a global program that helps young people without proper parental care transition to independent lives. SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit and corporate partners connect employees with youth worldwide for mentoring, job training, and shared learning through the YouthLinks digital platform.
Through one-on-one and group mentoring, employees and young people connect, either in person or via the YouthLinks community. This bridges geographic gaps, enabling global collaborative learning.

Africa | Malawi | Solar Power for the Chadza Community
Malawi's Chadza Community lacks electricity, affecting socio-economic growth. SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit and "Betteries" use recycled EV batteries to create solar power, enhancing the community and enabling access to tech for kids. This encourages them to participate in the digital economy as well as gaming activities.

Gaming-Programs
SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit is into gaming to support safe digital play and learning for kids in programs worldwide. Those programs are about equal access and making sure everyone can join in the fun, especially in disadvantaged areas.
Here are a few examples of the global gaming projects by SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit:
Latin America | Peru | "You are not alone" Serious Games
Girls aged 10 to 14 in Peru's SOS programs create mini-games themselves tackling real issues, like violence against girls. One game follows a character's journey home, showing various safety situations.
Latin America | KomikSOS
In the KomikSOS project, teenagers from SOS programs create comics and videos. They learn about storytelling, character design, and illustration for future gaming projects.
DACH Region | Germany, Austria, Switzerland | Cup der Dörfer Gaming Event
“CUP DER DÖRFER" is a mix of entertainment, responsibility, fun, and fundraising. Held in Berlin and online, it featured matches with popular gamers like Tim Latka, Luca Boller and Dullen Mike. It spreads awareness about global programs while entertaining on the Twitch channel @aSmoogl.
